The Edisto Beach Loggerhead Sea Turtle project has published a newspaper to highlight Edisto’s beloved Loggerhead Sea Turtles. The newspaper provides information about the sea turtles and the efforts to preserve them. The Turtle Times also offers the opportunity for kids to get involved by joining the Junior Turtle Patrol.
Copies of the Turtle Times are available at the restaurants at the Shops of Jungle Road. Crust Station Pizza, Tortuga’s Mexican Grill, The Marsh Moon Cafe, and 3 Gulls Creamery.
IMPORTANT: All activities shown and described are authorized under permit #MTP535 issued by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and performed by trained volunteers. If you observe turtles or hatchlings needing help, please contact Edisto Beach Police immediately at 843-549-2211.
